In Chorzów, Poland, a vibrant, multi-use public park highlights the probabilities of play. Designed by structure agency SLAS, “Exercise Zone” perforates a big concrete expanse with myriad shapes and buildings, every with its personal perform. Playground and health tools intersperse between tidy ball courts, seating, and inexperienced areas, together with a lot of giant current bushes. To emphasise accessibility, the studio selected concrete as a main materials to ease navigation for wheelchair customers and people with restricted mobility.
“Exercise Zone” includes the primary part of an integration initiative between the College of Silesia and the town of Chorzów, redeveloping a former army website right into a extra welcoming area whereas constructing connections between the educational and native communities.
