A Prayer to Discover Consolation in God’s Protecting Gaze – Your Each day Prayer

A Prayer of Safety

“The LORD is my power and my defend; in him my coronary heart trusts, and I’m helped; my coronary heart exults, and with my track I give due to him.” – Psalm 28:7 ESV

A number of years in the past, I snapped an image of a cloud that oddly resembled an enormous eye within the sky. As soon as I noticed it, I couldn’t assist however suppose God was watching with a cautious and attentive gaze. Now that image typically cycles itself via a show of featured images on my telephone, serving as a reminder God sees me. The times I’m most comforted by this thought are after I’m struggling!

What about you? Is there one thing that reminds you of God’s cautious safety and watchful eye over you? Possibly on a day whenever you had been being inundated with lies and feared the enemy, you noticed a flock of sparrows reminding you  God sees and cares to your each want. Or maybe you had been preventing together with your buddy, and an individual from church prayed a selected, spirit-led phrase that spoke to your downside with out her understanding the main points. Or possibly on a day whenever you couldn’t afford to pay an overdue invoice, the Lord supplied the quantity you wanted via an nameless donor. 

Within the Bible, God refers to Himself because the Good Shepherd, who lays down His life for the sheep. And He says we’re the sheep of His pasture (John 10:11-14). Sheep are somewhat defenseless animals. They don’t have sharp tooth or claws to keep at bay predators. They’re coated in heavy wool that makes them inclined to overheating if not groomed recurrently and weak to drowning in the event that they fall into deep waters. They’re recognized for getting themselves into precarious conditions. And so they want a shepherd’s fixed care and safety to remain protected and alive. 

All of the above situations are methods God lovingly communicates His willingness to guard and assist us. He reminds us we are able to belief Him to look after us, particularly after we are afraid and battling doubt and fear. The Good Shepherd protects His flock, even on the expense of His personal life! God sees us. He’s our supply of power and our defend from the enemy’s fiery darts. He longs for us to return to Him after we need assistance. We will belief Him, and even after we are afraid, we are able to sing praises of thanksgiving, understanding our hearts are utterly protected and safe in His tender, sturdy, shepherding arms (Psalm 28:7). 

Let’s pray:
Pricey Lord, 

Thank You for reminding us we’re weak with out you. We face many risks, and we’re defenseless with out You! However Lord, with You, we’re protected. You don’t depart us helpless and defenseless. We’re protected. You act as a defend, and You give us power. You’re the Good Shepherd who is aware of His sheep. You take care of us. You watch over us. You by no means depart us and at all times have Your loving gaze locked on us. Forgive us after we wrongly take into consideration the way you watch over us. Lord, sadly a few of us really feel as if You’re an unloving power simply ready for us to mess up. However Lord, that isn’t how You look upon us in any respect. You enjoyment of us. And also you despatched Your Son to cowl up all our sins and blemishes. After we are in Christ, You don’t see our errors. You see Your spotless lamb. You enjoyment of us like a father delights in His little one. And nothing can separate us from Your Love. Thank You for safeguarding us. Thank You that regardless that hazard lurks round us, we’re so protected we are able to sing! Thank You for being utterly reliable and a safe place to run after we are afraid.
